The first appointment. The first 2 to 3 sessions are a way for me to get to know you and better understand what you would like to work on. These sessions are important because they assist me in evaluating if I will be able to help you work toward your goals, and it also gives you the opportunity to see if you feel comfortable working with me. At the end of these sessions, we will discuss possible treatment options and decide together if we will continue to work together.
Before the first session you will be asked to complete some intake paperwork. If you prefer to fill it out in advance, you can complete it by by clicking on the title of the forms (requires Adobe Reader or Preview) and

If you are unable to complete the paperwork in advance, these forms will also be available in the office prior to your first appointment. Please plan to arrive about 30 minutes prior to your first appointment if you plan to fill out the paperwork in the office.
After the first session. Appointments are typically scheduled on a weekly basis to start and may become less frequent over time. The typical length of a session is 45 - 50 minutes. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early to ensure you can take advantage of the full session length.

My services may be covered by insurance. I am an in-network Blue Cross Blue Shield provider for the PPO & Traditional plans. Because every health insurance plan is different, you are strongly encouraged to call your insurance carrier or review your insurance policy to be sure you understand your benefits. In-network insurance claims will be filed directly by the practice and you will be responsible for the copay and any deductible.
For individuals choosing not to use insurance, or who have an insurance plan for which I would be considered an out-of-network provider, the fee per session is $145. I will provide you with the information that you need to submit the paperwork to your insurance company for reimbursement.
In instances of proven financial hardship or limited resources, I may consider reducing my fee per session for services provided.
Cancellation policy: As a courtesy, I would request that you cancel your appointment within a reasonable amount of time. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged the full session fee, unless there is an emergency or extenuating circumstances.
